Step One: Have the property professionally photographed

Professional presentation of your property is absolutely crucial to ensure it stands out online. Also, think about where you will be advertising and the types of campaigns you want to run; could you benefit from have a video produced or a 360 virtual tour.

Having a variety of property photos as well as lifestyle and area/location shots, will allow you to create all types of advertisements and content for social media. Also, having a couple of short (30 second) social media videos created are perfect for online ads as well as posts.

Step Three: Using content and social media to drive bookings

Content creation can seem daunting, though this helps drive traffic to your social media and website- you could create monthly blogs about what events are on in your area, a new top rated café or restaurant that has opened or other things to see and do, or even special you might be doing during the quieter months. This is perfect to email out to your database and share on social media (this also assists in growing your database, as people will sign-up to stay updated about what’s on in the area).

Social media platforms also allow you to create very specific and targeted ads, i.e., does your property suit families that would be looking to stay somewhere near theme parks and child friendly events.

Tip: Look up what large events or conferences are held in your local area/exhibition centres. You could create social media campaigns around these, for example on the Gold Coast, QLD; we have theme parks, Supanova – pop culture festival, Broadbeach Blues Festival, and large national business conferences held annually.
